How do I make an appointment?
Our consulting practice hours are from 08:30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday except public holidays. Dr Maiolo consults at Mount Barker on Monday and Wednesday, and at Adelaide CBD on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Dr Maiolo conducts telehealth Monday – Friday.
If you have a confirmed skin cancer diagnosis, or other urgent skin condition, Dr Maiolo aims to give all urgent patients rapid access consults within 48 hours.
To obtain a full Medicare rebate a referral must be obtained prior to your consultation. A referral from a GP is valid for 12 months and a referral from a specialist is valid for 3 months from the date of first consultation with Dr Maiolo.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
If you have any symptoms such as fever, cough, wheeze, trouble breathing, runny nose, headaches or loss of taste smell we ask that you ring our clinic to reschedule. Please do not attend the clinic if you have had any contact with positive COVID-19 cases or if you have been overseas in the past 14 days, or if you have been instructed to isolate.
For patients unable to attend the Clinic for a face-to-face review due to COVID-19 restrictions, you may be offered a telehealth (video) consultation.
It is important to minimise people traffic within the Clinic, so we ask that you either come alone to your appointment or with only one other person. All patients and visitors are required to use the QR code check-in on entry into the Clinic.
We abide by all cleaning, physical distancing and PPE (personal protective equipment) guidelines as directed by SA Health.

Do you provide telehealth (video) appointments?
Our telehealth service has expanded and we are now using Coviu for video consultations.
This service is encrypted and has been approved for healthcare use by the Australian Defence Force. There is no app to download and the consultation is not saved or recorded.
Please click the link https://pr.coviu.com/coviu-support-for-patients to learn more about Coviu.
Telehealth increases access for our patients who are limited by distance, general health, quarantine or other restrictions. Telehealth does not allow for close examination and there are conditions in which a face-to-face consultation will be preferred or required.
Conditions we see via Telehealth:
- Review of patients previously seen via Face-to-Face consultation
- Consultation of patients in conjunction with another healthcare provider (eg with a GP present)
Conditions we do not see via Telehealth:
- Skin cancer checks/ suspicious moles
- Hair/scalp conditions
- Genital conditions
